YOU WILL NEVER FIT IN, SO STOP TRYING
Most of my life, I’ve felt like I never truly fit in with most earthlings. I’m not saying I’m Super Human, but most entrepreneurs have a special DNA that normal humans don’t possess. When I was young, I talked to my friends and family about big purchases and goals. Most of them assumed I was just a dreamy Pisces and found me entertaining. They didn’t take me seriously and even joked about my lofty goals. This just added fuel to my fire.
During my younger years, my surroundings didn’t fit my professional goals, so I knew I would have to make my journey alone. (initially) No one else was experiencing my dream except for me, so I couldn’t expect anyone else to buy into it. Most of my friends were spending money on personal items while I invested in myself. It was no fun watching friends buy home theater systems, cool jewelry and exotic travel while I worked hard and studied. I believed that my fun purchases and trips were only deferred and not sacrificed. We can’t get caught up in the emotions we experience during challenging times or we will give up.
I also learned at a young age that success is not all high fives and chocolate ice cream. I had to make the decision to embrace some lonely days and use them to create and plan instead of cry and complain. I had to believe everyday that my hard work and sacrifice would pay off in the long run. I held on to words of hope that my family spoke to me and prayed. I also believed this lonely time was temporary and would improve once I paid off the dues owed to make it to the next level. Don’t think people on the next level are going to understand or embrace you. Everyone’s vision and motivation is unique to them.
Individual passion can’t be transferred or completely understood by others. Once I learned this, I began to understand why I didn’t fit in with most people I grew up with or the people I met as I moved up the professional ladder. Many of them couldn’t understand my drive, passion or vision. You can’t blame others for not being able to read your mind or see your vision. We are all blessed with different talents, gifts and paths to obtain them, so don’t freak out when people learn or grown differently than you. Focus on the end game and the ability to win together. I began to see others around me that didn’t feel like they fit in as well. That’s when I realized entrepreneurs are just wired differently. We look at ideas and processes from a different point of view. This is how we create innovations that move our society forward. Without this bass ackward thinking, we wouldn’t be so brilliant.
Embrace being different. I became a much better leader once I embraced that feeling of not being understood. I had to give a smaller piece of the map (my vision) to each teammate so they only got to see their own part of the mission. Once we complete the vision successfully, everyone understands it because they can play the journey back in their minds. Once your people trust you more based upon multiple successes, they will follow you without the doubt and drama. One day you will have a business family that understands you. Until then, embrace the fact that you may not fit in professionally throughout your journey. If you are an out of the box innovator, this will be your life’s legacy unless you surround yourself with other innovators. And all innovators aren’t created equally. Your team should consist of others that appreciate the uncomfortable feeling found during precise communication and objective thinking. Entrepreneurs and creators separate themselves from the pack by embracing the feeling of being different from their peers so stop crying and start making large stacks of cash you weirdo. I did…

Who The Hell Am I?
One of my favorite writing instructors often spoke about how our lives change every decade. Victor at ten years old will be completely different from the Victor at twenty years old, but influenced by the ten years in between. Victor at thirty years old will be different from twenty year old Victor but driven by the ten years of experiences in between. I think you get the point. At the very seasoned age of forty six, my views and desires have changed significantly from thirty year old Victor. My dreams of conquering the universe have evolved into the desire to help my children live their ideal life by doing what they are passionate about. I also work to teach others what I know and show them how to experience financial freedom.
Sounds like I’ve gotten soft in my middle days doesn’t it. NOT HARDLY! With clear vision comes courage and wisdom. Wisdom to see what type of deals and professional relationships you no longer want. I know that I want to have fun while I work. Especially when the goals are challenging. If you can’t have fun while working hard, then you may have a team that’s allergic to hard work. I would rather work hard on my schedule and leave with a fresh mind knowing that I completed every task instead of dragging along in low gear all day dreading the work ahead. Then take home the stress of knowing I’m behind because I procrastinated or complained all day about Bernie Sanders or Donald Trump. It doesn’t matter who becomes president if you have a success plan and a clear vision. A great CPA and corporate attorney can always help you find a way to survive if you keep your products and services competitive.
I have learned to Live Fearless. I protect my business environment like its the most precious jewel on the planet. I create environments for my people to learn and grow into their greatness without fear. I believe everyone is born with greatness inside of them and it’s every good leader’s job to help them maximize it. I enjoy everyday at work so one day my children may want to walk in my footsteps in automotive, film, production or coaching. If I’m miserable everyday, why would my children or a staff member want to work toward doing what I do? We kill our lines of succession when we complain and tell everyone how hard it is. Who wants to take over a crap wagon of a job that you complain about everyday? The money isn’t worth being miserable to most people on this planet. People crave wealth when it comes with a quality life. So stop asking yourself why you can’t hire good people if you aren’t a happy person at work. By the way, why aren’t you happy? Find out what makes you unhappy and remove it promptly. Find out what makes you happy and share it as often as possible.
Who am I? Actually, I’m still growing up, but I know I want to be happy and make a ton of money doing what excites me. I know I want to be a positive influence on the people around me, so I choose to surround myself with people who share my beliefs and passions. I no longer try to convince people to see the same rainbow that I see. I’m the guy who points out a waste of time or inefficiencies like a hunting dog. I bark at them until they go away because if I don’t they could destroy everything we’re working to build. Why would someone want to follow me if I allow emotions and bad habits to waste their time and delay their success? I guess I’m that guy who calls it like I see it. Some people will hate me and others will love me because they know we’ll succeed when others fail. #LivFearless

Lost In Silence
Silent movies were brilliant but very difficult to create because the writer and director were challenged to produce a movie that the viewer could understand and emotionally connect to without the use of words. Although music helped set the tone, it was the actors ability to tell a story through their movement and expressions that made the magic happen
How do you connect with your business partners or associates if you choose not to use your words? Unless you have a Hollywood caliber orchestra to create an emotional music score or Morgan Freeman standing by to portray you in your office, chances are you have issues if you aren’t communicating with your team in a clear and transparent manner.
USE YOUR WORDS!!! Also, use processes and venues that allow safe and open communication while looking to address common goals. If you don’t have a safe room or strong agenda skills, then start with a moderator that is mutually respected to keep the peace during emotional talks.

Italian Cars and Rock Stars
Football, NBA and Rock Stars are often perceived as the power players that make it rain in our economy. I beg to differ. It’s the entrepreneurs with dreams of building their brands, inventions and family legacy who build strong communities around the world. Contractors, attorneys, physicians, car dealers, restaurant owners, etc. are the business owners that are responsible for investing in startup companies as well as adding high dollar jobs that support millions of families around the world.
So next time you applaud your favorite musician or athlete, don’t forget to give your boss some props as well. It’s not easy to build an empire. It can be very humbling. I reviewed the attached photo from a Lamborghini product launch and it reminded me that everyone in the room who had interest in ordering a new bull was a good old fashioned hard working citizen. The room was filled with computer programers, doctors, bankers and other professionals. Not one baller was in attendance. This is not a slap in the face to our on screen or court performers but a little reminder of what the average consumer around the world of premium goods really looks like. Who is in your consumer pool?
