One of my favorite writing instructors often spoke about how our lives change every decade. Victor at ten years old will be completely different from the Victor at twenty years old, but influenced by the ten years in between. Victor at thirty years old will be different from twenty year old Victor but driven by the ten years of experiences in between. I think you get the point. At the very seasoned age of forty six, my views and desires have changed significantly from thirty year old Victor. My dreams of conquering the universe have evolved into the desire to help my children live their ideal life by doing what they are passionate about. I also work to teach others what I know and show them how to experience financial freedom.
Sounds like I’ve gotten soft in my middle days doesn’t it. NOT HARDLY! With clear vision comes courage and wisdom. Wisdom to see what type of deals and professional relationships you no longer want. I know that I want to have fun while I work. Especially when the goals are challenging. If you can’t have fun while working hard, then you may have a team that’s allergic to hard work. I would rather work hard on my schedule and leave with a fresh mind knowing that I completed every task instead of dragging along in low gear all day dreading the work ahead. Then take home the stress of knowing I’m behind because I procrastinated or complained all day about Bernie Sanders or Donald Trump. It doesn’t matter who becomes president if you have a success plan and a clear vision. A great CPA and corporate attorney can always help you find a way to survive if you keep your products and services competitive.
I have learned to Live Fearless. I protect my business environment like its the most precious jewel on the planet. I create environments for my people to learn and grow into their greatness without fear. I believe everyone is born with greatness inside of them and it’s every good leader’s job to help them maximize it. I enjoy everyday at work so one day my children may want to walk in my footsteps in automotive, film, production or coaching. If I’m miserable everyday, why would my children or a staff member want to work toward doing what I do? We kill our lines of succession when we complain and tell everyone how hard it is. Who wants to take over a crap wagon of a job that you complain about everyday? The money isn’t worth being miserable to most people on this planet. People crave wealth when it comes with a quality life. So stop asking yourself why you can’t hire good people if you aren’t a happy person at work. By the way, why aren’t you happy? Find out what makes you unhappy and remove it promptly. Find out what makes you happy and share it as often as possible.
Who am I? Actually, I’m still growing up, but I know I want to be happy and make a ton of money doing what excites me. I know I want to be a positive influence on the people around me, so I choose to surround myself with people who share my beliefs and passions. I no longer try to convince people to see the same rainbow that I see. I’m the guy who points out a waste of time or inefficiencies like a hunting dog. I bark at them until they go away because if I don’t they could destroy everything we’re working to build. Why would someone want to follow me if I allow emotions and bad habits to waste their time and delay their success? I guess I’m that guy who calls it like I see it. Some people will hate me and others will love me because they know we’ll succeed when others fail. #LivFearless
